I downloaded this thinking it would be boring, but it was actually really thrilling. Com. Gordon's son is a murderer. A lot of this comic is about Gordon actually.
Language: a--, b-tch, hell, damn
Sexual content: kissing
Violent content: Batman style fighting, somewhat graphic murders, and a scene of torture in which a man is hung up in another's basement, bloodied and beaten, and all of his limbs are cut off. The torture isn't shown, but the brief image of the man was VERY graphic. A characters arm is bitten off.
Drug and Alcohol: Light drinking
Other: Gordon's son lies.
Conclusion: This isn't my favorite Batman comic but, it is still good. Batman is off fighting villains and Gordon's fighting villains of his own. He still presents himself as a good father figure, but his son's lies and cunning is terrible to see.

Batman: The Killing Joke
Joker. In 2008 he was given a reimagining by Heath Ledger. Ledger played a sick sadistic villain who lived up to his name. This comic explores some of his origin story as a few interesting quotes asking why Batman does what he does. Most of the violence is Batman-level dark. This story is short, but very complex. The Killing Joke is one of the best Batman comic books to date.
Language: hell, damn, b-tch
Sexual Content: Joker shoots a key character from the Batman mythos then takes pictures of her while she is naked. Later, some of these pictures are shown as torture for that girl's relative. They aren't that graphic its just horrible to imagine. The same man who has to view his relative naked is naked himself as part of Joker's torture.
Violent Content: As said before, Joker shoots a key character and her back is instantly broken. Batman style brawls. Joker's origin story is dark.
Drug and alcohol: Characters drink beer and wine.
Other: None
Conclusion: This is Batman in one of his finest comics. Joker is probably my favorite Batman villain because he questions everything Batman does. He is also the opposite of Bruce Wayne's superhero. I would recommend this to any older comic book reader.

Deadpool Killustrated
Deadpool never ceases to be- crazy. In the final installment of Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, our anti-hero hops into other dimensions and takes out all the classic stories we know. It seems really pointless, but some of the flashbacks he was having of killing other Marvel Heroes were interesting to see, like he was regretting what he did. A lot of stuff Deadpool does is pointless and he is always seen breaking the 4th wall.
Language: A couple of bleeped words (@%*!), hell, damn, SOB.
Sexual Content: None
Violent Content: Deadpool kills a lot of people and gets himself hurt a lot in the process. Blood is shown most of the time on the comic book pages although some of the killings are off the page.
Drugs and Alcohol: People sip wine.
Other: Deadpool can be funny, but he can also be gritty. This installment goes to show that some stuff he does is just pointless.
Conclusion: A lot of us have seen the Deadpool movie trailer. We all know the film will be rated R, but Deadpool's comic books are not nearly as bad as what the trailer showcased, especially in the sexual content. This isn't a good comic to start a kid's comic book collection off with, I would find something more like Avengers, Spider-Man, or Teen Titans. Even Deathstroke isn't as bad as this.
Comic book Rating: Parental Advisory
